CERAMICA MATEO, is located in Santa Cruz de Mudela, Ciudad Real, an area in which the clays of the very best quality are found, used for manufacturing ceramic tiles. For centuries, curved ceramic tiles (known as Arabic roof tiles) have been manufactured in Santa Cruz. In earlier years, due to their extraordinary quality, the tiles were transported in wagons to distant places .

CERAMICA MATEO, was founded in 1967 as a family enterprise relying on the area´s natural resources and experience in working with ceramic tiles (passed on from father to son). They were hand-made and fired in traditional Arabic Ovens.

Year by year, CERAMICA MATEO has continued modernizing to keep up with our clients demands.

In the past we manufactured just one type of curved ceramic tiles but now, we have more than 40 types of them. Nowadays, they are available in any colour requested by our clients.

In 1987, in order to improve the quality, a tunnel oven was built to achieve a better firing in our products and in 1990, we completely computerized our factory.

Our aim in CERAMICA MATEO is to manufacture a curved ceramic tile of superior quality. So, day by day, we are upgrading our instalations and looking for ways in which to improve our products in order to meet our customers most demanding needs.

Thanks to the unsurpassable geographical location, (our factory being in the centre of Spain), our products can be transported  anywhere in the country without affecting transportation costs.
